One of the
premier dance team competitions of the Midwest,
the Lake Central Dance Invitational is the
longest running dance team competition in
Indiana. Since 1994, the Lake Central Dance
Invitational has been bringing together more
than 50 of the finest dance teams in Indiana
and a nationally recognized panel of judges.
It typically features over 14 hours of competition
and 150 performances. An estimated 4,000 people
attend the Lake Central Dance Invitational
to view the best field of teams to appear
outside of the regional and state competition.
Representing schools from IHSDTA Division
I, II, III, IV, and V, the LCDI is an important
warmup to the Indiana State competition, thus,
earning it the nickname of "Preview of
Champions."
Over 100 volunteers make
this event possible with countless hours
of effort in all aspects of organizing and
running the program. Many corporate sponsors,
in supporting the Lake Central Centralettes
to host this event, make it possible for
high school dancers all over Indiana to
participate in premier-level contests such
as this year after year. Please support
our sponsors who have so graciously chosen
to support us.
If you are interested in
becoming a sponsor, please email Centralettes
Director, Kevin Mathis at dana@lccentralettes.org.
